Basic Online Case Law Searching
Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1:15 p.m.
In the last 5 to 10 years, free online tools to search Canadian legal sources have developed at a rapid pace. Because the sources are freely available on the internet, little attention has been paid in the training of legal practitioners in their proper use.
This webinar seeks to help any legal practitioner develop their skills in researching statutes, regulations and case law using freely available internet resources. We will cover federal and provincial systems as well as demonstrating the CanLII system. Online illustrations will be provided with ‘live’ searching being demonstrated.
