Course Overview

Understanding the financial side of your legal practice is essential because it is also a business. Financial statements are a collection of documents that can assess the fiscal health of your business or that of your client. Being able to navigate these statements and the information presented in them will help you better support your clients and grow your own business. A must watch!

Francis Lanois is a Business Advisor with MNP’s Assurance and Accounting Services group in Markham. Francis delivers a full suite of accounting and advisory solutions to help privately owned businesses succeed. He customizes solutions to each client’s unique situation, challenges and goals. Francis helps clients in numerous industries, including real estate and professionals.
Francis’ services include financial reporting, reviews and compilations, as well as corporate and personal income tax planning and filing. In addition, he consults on a wide range of business issues, connecting clients with the Firm’s broad-based expertise when necessary.
Francis graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management (BAFM) with a minor in human resources management, and a Master of Accounting (MAcc). He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2014, and has completed CPA Canada’s In-depth Tax Program certification.
