Description
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act recognizes the history of discrimination against persons with disabilities in Ontario. It also lays out requirements for accommodating disabilities, whatever they may be (as the definition is very broad).
In this 60 minutes webinar, Lynn Wheatley will outline the provisions of the AODA, and other pieces of legislation, that you need to be aware of to represent your clients properly. Included will be a discussion of how you should view your practice and office space, what accommodations you may have to make for your staff, general staff training on understanding disabilities, and requirements for ensuring appropriate accommodations are made if your client has to go to court.
