Description

As lawyers and paralegals, you are expected to be from bias in your work and in your dealings with your clients and others. Yet everyone is biased. Our biases are rooted in both our neurological wiring and how we grew up and often impacted by factors outside of our awareness. This workshop aims to educate on bias, how it’s built into our brain, how it impacts our behaviour, and how to mitigate this impact. Brittany Danishevsky is an EDI advocate and consultant, who has worked in the space for the last 5 years. Starting in the not-for-profit sector, she has since worked with universities, start-up incubators, tech companies and more to create inclusive institutions and work-places for all. With a background is psychology and neuroscience, she strives to make her workshops evidence based, while keeping them fun, interactive, and impactful. Aside from her EDI work, Brittany is a full time software engineer, and hosts a mental health awareness podcast called High Functioning.
