The demographic makeup of Canadian society has changed dramatically in the last 25 years, and it will continue to change. Living and working in our society will require that each of us become increasingly aware of the challenge of the changing face of our society, be it gender, sexual orientation, cultural, ethnic or racial.

In this webinar, Deirdre Pike will provide an overview of the concept of diversity. The information covered here can help you: Increase your awareness of the various dimensions of diversity; Examine your own diverse identity and how that identity affects your relationships with others; Become more aware of your own attitudes, perceptions, and feelings about various aspects of diversity; Make a commitment to increase your understanding of diversity issues.

Presenter: Deirdre Pike, Senior Social Planner with the Social Planning and Research Council of Hamilton, freelance columnist and sought after speaker on equity and inclusion.
