Once a judgment is made, the next step is collection. This webinar will provide a general overview of collection methods such as the filing of garnishments, writs, judgment debtor examinations, the contempt powers of deputy judges.
The conduct of debtor judgment examinations will also be dealt with. Sample questions and responses will be discussed as well as techniques for the identification of appropriate assets for execution will be presented.
Finally, the rules on contempt hearing and concerns about the inherent powers of deputy judges will be addressed. The most current practice will be provided together with techniques to bring evasive debtors before appropriate courts.
