New Obligations for Legal Professionals: Addressing Systemic Racism

$ 59

As a legal practitioner in Ontario, you play an important role in addressing barriers faced by colleagues because of racism and discrimination. Now, you have an
obligation to address systemic racism before then end of 2017.

In a 2016 report, the Law Society of Upper Canada outlined five strategies with 13 recommendations for actions. This year, three of the recommendations will be implemented. This mean you have to take action before the end of the year as you need to report on these in your 2017 Annual Report.

In this webinar, our presenters will talk about:

1.  Creating and adopting a Statement of Principles (mandatory)

2.  Creating and implementing a Human Rights and Diversity Policy (mandatory for legal workplaces of 10 or more licensees)

Sample documents in editable format will be provided.

Don’t fail to fulfill your obligations. Register today for this course today!
