Every lawyer thinks that they should be natural at what they do – communicating with others in writing and orally, examining and cross examining witnesses, having great research and analytical skills, being able to draw logical conclusions or assumptions from limited information, and are incredibly creative. All good advocacy skills to strive toward. For most lawyers, you are not born with these skills – they must be learned, developed and honed.

Marcel Mongeon  will build on his 2017 Lawyering Skills presentation by looking at good, and bad, advocacy skill displays in some of his favourite on screen lawyer scenes and talk about how you can improve your advocacy skills.
